The SoftwareSphere programming libraries are sold with their complete source code.
The libraries are copyrighted by SoftwareSphere which means that you can't make a copy of some or all the files you received and simply rename all the parts to make a new library to distribute in any form.
You can use the libraries in the way suggested in their documentation, without changing any parts of them.
You can distribute the compiled files (DLL) if they are needed from your applications.
You can distribute any software product that includes the static libraries.
You can't distribute the library in source code form.
You can't distribute the header files or the documentation files.
There is no warranty for the library, the libraries are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the library is with you. Should the library prove defective, you assume the cost of all necessary servicing, repair or correction. (see also "Support" below).
In no event will SoftwareSphere be liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the libraries, including but not limited to loss of data or data being rendered inaccurate or losses sustained by you or third parties or a failure of the libraries to operate with any other software.
If you just use the libraries without modifying the source code you receive our assistance for help in using the libraries or if you come across an evident defect of the libraries, this assistance is included in the price of the library.
This library is not OpenSource. Your defects reports are welcome but your hints about the code in most cases are a waste of time because we are continuously improving the code, so you shouldn't study in depth the internal code. This library is aimed at providing a set of ready to use components and this is the way it should be used.
However if you are concerned about the robustness and reliability of the code you can inspect the source code, and you can modify the code provided you don't distribute the modified source code to any third party because in this case you were creating another version of the library which must remain in your private development team.
Some names of the classes or other program parts in these libraries have already been used by other people in different articles appeared in the Web. This happens because the naming rules in this library have been maintained as simple as possible, and aligned with the rules internal to the MFC library. The names are not meaningful of the content of the libraries since the entire code would provide the same functionality if the class names were all changed with a prefix.
